I Went Cold Turkey on Wheat

by

Talking about wheat, I am 53 years old and am a commercial helicopter pilot. I have been trying to lose weight for years and have been around 218 pounds for the last few years. I read Wheat Belly by William Davis.

I went cold turkey on wheat which was really hard as I work in the jungle of Papua, New Guinea. I did a medical in Cairns on the way to PNG and I had to do a medical in the states when I came home as it was due here in the states.

I weighed in at 205 lbs so I had lost 13 pounds in a month. The best I have felt for a long time. I hope I can keep this up.

I too just recently quit wheat completely. Of the various changes I’ve made to address some health issues, this has made the most profound and immediate effect. Within two days, even my reflexes and motor coordination were noticeably improved. It has now been two weeks, and every day I notice clearer skin, more mental clarity, less stiffness, etc.

I love eating grilled cheese sandwiches made with olive oil, with egg or chicken in between the bread and cheese as well. What is a good alternative if I wanna cut out the wheat and gluten for good??
