I just downloaded the UltraSimple Diet Companion Guide. I have only skimmed it and am about to order the book so my initial take could be wrong but it looks similar to whole foods, anti-inflammatory or diets I have used with patients, with the exception being the soy products you are recommending. I am guessing that is for the help of vegetarians wanting to do this diet but with the number of people that have a sensitivity to soy I would recommend having people avoid soy for the initial phase of the diet and then add it back in and see if they react. I am guessing you also discuss the effect of the carbohydrate recommendation on blood sugar levels and that people can/should eat less carbohydrates if they are obese/have blood sugar problems. I am interested in reading more and seeing what your recommendations are for fat intake. Thank you for this guide, it looks like it will be extremely helpful in guiding patients through dietary changes.
