For a month, I faithfully did not eat soy, peanuts, dairy, corn, sugars, gluten. I was trying to find out if I was allergic to one of these items. I am a diabetic and thought that if I stopped eating certain foods then I would not need insulin (Lantus) anymore. With Lantus my fasting BS was between 90-130. Without the insulin my fasting blood sugars still ranged in the 200′s. The only benefit that I received by not eating these foods (which I believe is the sugar) was that the stiffness in the morning and during the day was alleviated. Big difference. Unless I did something wrong, this diet only works for some people. Please let me know what you think. did I not do it long enough tomake a differenc?
