Hi there Everyone,
I wanted to mention an added bonus to following the BSS diet that is not mentioned much here,
improved physical capability. Kathy Ralph mentioned her return to hiking and horseback riding lessons. That was a wonderful message.
I just realized how easy it is to stand on one foot while washing the other. I used to have to lean on the shower wall to do that, no more! It is much easier for me to search the bottom shelves in the kitchen, or get under a table to reach something. Making simple things like housekeeping, gardening and using public transportation easier is a big deal to most of us. Of course, at 5 feet 2.5 inches, nothing will help me reach the the higher shelves in the kitchen. But it is a lot safer for me to get on the step stool!
How about you, has there been any improvements in agility you will share?
Peace to you all, Margaret

I so appreciate your post. It is very encouraging. I am in the middle of my prep week, and it is a real challenge because I am also in week 2 of the worst cold I have ever had. It really drives home the need for me to fully commit to this program though. As the saying goes, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! So as one vertically challenged person to another, thanks for letting us see your progress. Hopefully I will have some of my own to post soon.
Hi Tracie,
I wish you well with your cold. You could put of week 1 if you are not feeling well. The trick to success with this plan is planning ahead and doing your own cooking. That can be a challenge if your energy is low do to a cold.
I look forward to your posts of success and of the glitches as well. We all have them.
Blessings, Margaret week 14
Margaret, I’ve really taken the exercise to heart and so physically I feel great. My energy is consistent throughout the day. I am certainly stronger all over (weights and squats), have more endurance (running and other aerobic video’s), and best of all more flexible (yoga). I workout in my basement 6 days a week first thing in the morning. It’s a great way to start my day and I love how great I feel as a result. The weight slowly but surely coming off is great, but the way I feel physically is FANTASTIC!!! I love your wins of having a lot more ease with balance, household activity, and getting around in general. And I love all your posts. Thanks.
