She and some of her other test pals have […] ViewWe would love to have you over there, Margaret. You can keep a relatively low profile on FB, and just use it for the Blood Sugar solution group. The advantage is that it’s a smaller group. I find this site unwieldy – but it sounds lile you are taking to it quite well. If you want to stay pretty anonymous, you could post a picture of a flower or…[Read more]

In reply to: Sarah posted an update in the group Weight & Obesity I just picked up bss today. I have no idea what I am doing. All I know is that I have to do something for my health. I am prediabetic and have had some major […] ViewHow sad, Sarah. It sounds like you have to make a very tough choice to save your life. Yes, it has to be much harder in that situation. I can suggest that you designate a cabinet and a section of the refrigerator and stock them with plenty of good food that will support your healing. Maybe commit to one week at a time. Remember you’ll probably…[Read more]

I am prediabetic and have had some major […] ViewWe had plenty of miracles in the betatest for this book. My suggestion would be to read it, do the PREP (very important), and do the 6-weeks. You will probably have to get rid of foods you are eating now, and if you are like me, you’ll be kicking and screaming. But do it. I felt so much better from the first week, and found I really didn’t miss…[Read more]

The only problem with cleaning out my cupboards is that I have to live at home with my parents becuase my health has deteriated in the last year. And my mom continues to by the wrong foods for my dad. Even though I have asked her not to because if its in the house I will eat it. She hasn’t respected that. So how do I fight the urge to eat the…[Read more]

After a couple weeks on the program you won’t crave the things you used. I didn’t clean my cupboards completely out because other people live with me that don’t want to change to this way of eating, but I don’t think the same way I used to about food after reading the book and doing the program for 2 mo now. It will all fall into place as…[Read more]

Remember you’re detoxing. Try not to get in a pinch – especially in the first 6 weeks. You want to get all the benefits of the work you are doing.

In reply to: bevpearson posted an update in the group Recipes I’ve been loving this Spinach Omelet for my breakfasts. It is good hot, room temperature, or cold. It keeps me satisfied and energetic until lunch. It’s a bit of […] ViewThat sounds great. I’ll try it on a Sunday when I can have the rest during the week. The other thing might be to make a frittata out of it – cook the bottom on low-med heat, and when the bottom is done, put it in the broiler to finish the top. (You don’t have to turn it.

One thing is that you are detoxing now – so the toxins are getting released into your bloodstream, trying to get out. Thank you so much for your reply. What you say makes a lot of sense. I will follow your suggestions. The breathing exercises are a great idea. I like the idea of this being a detox and that that is the reason for feeling yucky.

In reply to: Georgette Poland posted an update On the program 7 weeks and have an increased amount of energy daily, The bonus is 12 pounds lighter and that feels good. ViewCongratulations, Georgette! Don’t you feel like the energy is even better than the weight loss? I have been doing the program since October (on the betatest). But I now feel like I have a pretty good dialog going with my body so I can give it what it needs (and easily bypass what is not going to make me feel better).

Hi Arlene, Shifting here a bit, but I just received a gift of two pots of herbs. My first to try and grow myself. They are rosemary and thyme. Is your garden in ground or in containers? In reply to: shannijones posted an update in the group Recipes are any of the following not allowed – goat cheese, rice milk and vegan mayo? ViewPS – Maybe try a little brown mustard with something you’d want to put mayo on? It works for me. Or even a salad of canned salmon, onion, celery, and some mashed avocado instead of mayo. (You have to eat it shortly after you make it or the avocado will get ugly.)

It will probably make you want the sugar in the graham crackers. When you get to ”T” and aren’t eating any sugar, few carbs, and very little fruit, your sugar cravings should go away. In reply to: shannijones posted an update in the group Recipes are any of the following not allowed – goat cheese, rice milk and vegan mayo? ViewI believe goat cheese is considered dairy, but it’s certainly not as bad as cow-cheese (that sounds funny).
