Can we use protein powder with a base ingredient of ”Ultra-low temp Whey Protein Isolate”? I’ve used this protein powder for the past 3 years and have a significant supply. Even though the whey is milk protein it is derived from hormone free cows, if that makes a difference. I think I know the answer. :-)

    • It is a dairy product as you already know. So the short answer is not for the six week BSS plans. So sorry.

Thanks, it’s funny how my addicted mind is trying to find loopholes. Not really, I’m ready to start tomorrow. I think.

        • We have all gone through this. Once you get started it does get easier for most people. A lot of people have a drastic reduction in appetite. For me it was because I was not experiencing the usual blood sugar swings.
Most of us have tried to find things that’ might work’. Quinoa is a seed not a grain. Even though the BSS book says no quinoa, I had to ask the nutritional coaches if quinoa could be allowed. Of course the answer was they consider it as a grain. I did the same with wild rice because it is a grass. I guess it is my rebellious nature!
          Stay well, Margaret

    • While this sounds like a product you might try when the 6 weeks are over, for now please avoid all dairy, even whey protein. Learn more about safe reintroduction in chapter 26 or visit nutrition coaching for more understanding:http://www.bloodsugarsolution.com/nutrition-coaching/
