Happy Tuesday Everyone – This is going to sounds silly to some of you but I have been noticing bones lately that I haven’t seen or felt for years as my % fat decreases. The scale is still telling me 139 but should be inching downwards soon since I’ve been at that weight for over 5/8. I had to go buy a new pair of sandals this week because I kept…[Read more]

    • Your post is, as usual, right on target for me. Came back from my long weekend away and only lost 1 pound. Ate everything right although I did not get the 2 snacks in for 4 days. Glad I did not gain a pound! Nicole…keep writing you provide such inspiration for me and others. Thank you, Rusty

      • Rusty- in my book the snacks are not mandatory – if you are no hungry between meals don’t have a snack…just make sure though that you are drinking enough water. You won’t lose weight if you are dehydrated. I eat one of my snacks before my evening pills usually some sort of protein so that the pills are not taken on an empty stomach. My other…[Read more]

I just got my xray results back and I have Extensive calcific tendinitis. I googled this and found out it could be caused by diabetes. I have had diabetes for 15 years and I have read that this is when effects of diabetes can occur. Dam, why me? One thing the article said to do was to eliminate a calcium from my diet and that some nuts have…[Read more]

    • Google foods high in calcium…of course milk and cheese are the first things that come to mind. I suspect that this can be reversed over time with the proper diet. You will find as you follow this way of eating that you just keep getting healthier and healthier. Don’t get discouraged. Nicole

      • Thanks Nicole,
I am already feeling so much better on this food plan. The pain I have been in all week was what made me so discouraged. I’m feeling better today. Resting my shoulder and taking NSADs are really working. Wish your body didn’t wear out.

        • I had already been eating pretty healthy when I started BSS plan in July 2012. My roughest week was between week 2 and 3. My blood pressure also decreased and I got off of…[Read more]

Just went to the doctor and my blood pressure is in the normal range. I’m so happy I don’t need high blood pressure medicine any more. Still having trouble with my fasting blood sugars being too high. Anybody have suggestions on how to lower them when they go up over night?

    • Hi Dawna – Have you read about the dawning effect…your body increases your blood sugar over night around 2:00 am in the morning ..this is part of your bodies “wake up” routine. You might want to check our blood sugar in the evening , around 1:00 am and then when you get up a few times. So many things effect it..if you suffer from obstructive…[Read more]
