I’ve been taking thyroid medications forever for my hypothyroidism. My doctor thinks my adrenal glands have burned out due to stress, medication, and medical challenges and this has contributed to my hypothyroidism. I am working on optimizing my health this year and have been following the Ultrametabolism plan for 12 weeks. My sleep is more regular and I’m reestablishing a more natural rhythm. For an insomniac, that’s saying a lot. My weight is decreasing and my lipid panel looks much better. However, there has been no change in my thyroid function. I was really hoping to improve enough so I could at least decrease my medication. Has anyone been successful in doing so and if so what helped you most?
