If you eat 4 oz meat daily, what proteins are you having for the other meals and your snacks? If you are on the blood sugar solution you should be having protein with each snack and meal.

Hi, Caitlin – Look in the health food stores. You can get almond butter that is just ground-up almonds. Organic, if you pay more. You have to stir it – but just once – then you put it in the fridge.

Hi, If you are really hungry perhaps you should try the PGX. I use natural factors capsules and they really helped me the first couple of weeks. Then my appetite just fell off dramatically. If you are hungry a lot perhaps you should concentrate on staying with the correct foods and eat enough to stop the hunger. Then get into portion control after…[Read more]

yes, if you have eggs or tofu you should skip the animal protein OR eat a heck of a lot of vegetables in that meal. You should be eating 3 times as many vegetables as protein.
-
Margaret Foster replied 1 year, 1 month ago
Caitln, Do not stress out about the protein, just remember to eat some protein at every meal, even if it is a protein powder. And eat protein with every snack. Almonds and kale chips and other nuts can count as protein if you are having a snack. Or one bite of chicken with some celery would work. I think the most popular snack talked about on this…[Read more]

Margaret Foster replied 1 year, 1 month ago
Tilapia is listed as OK on the Sea Food Watch for this year. You can eat any allowed food any week. The menu plans are simply suggestions for people that do not know what to prepare. I do not think fish would be good daily unless you are doing good portion control (4oz or less a day). The Blood Sugar Solution book discusses fish and seafood. Also,…[Read more]

I agree. It is very hard to find info on the website and in the book. It would help if the recipes on the website were sorted as to main ingredient so you don’t have to look through everything.

pamme64 replied 1 year, 1 month ago
In the book, there is a list of foods you can have, but it is in paragraph form and is divided by glycemic load and some guidelines are included. You could easily make a spreadsheet using the info. I don’t have my book with me, so I can’t give you a page number. If you go to My Downloads at the top of this page, there a list of foods and portion…[Read more]
