GiGi replied 10 months, 2 weeks ago
Really? I fortunately can handle some sugar substitutes. I really love stevia and have been using it for 10 years… and my only real vice is aspartame because I chew a lot of sugar-free orbit gum… but that’s my only source of aspartame. I had a stupid oral fixation apparently. LOL!!! What is Xyilotol like for you?

I did order the protein shake powder. I think that will help. I also bought some tofu. I can try that in the place of eggs. I’m learning! Good idea to try soups too.

Julia, I like how you phrased, ”health I’m adding to my life…” The book also encourages you to find your motivation and connect to it, and maybe that’s what helped me feel enthusiastic from the beginning. My motivation was about feeling as vibrant as I could and being a healthy role model to my son. Thank you!

TriciaNY replied 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Julia, for me I found that following the BSS to a T was the best way. Not sure if you had a chance to read the book, but there are actually a couple of weeks of prep. The first week is just about observing and journaling what you currently eat. The second week you start to let go of some things like white carbs, high glucose corn syrup, trans…[Read more]

Recipes 10 months, 3 weeks agoHello,
Any ideas for breakfast recipies that don’t include eggs?

Hi Julia, Anything you eat for lunch or dinner will work for breakfast. Protein shakes mentioned in the BSS book and soups would work.
Good luck, hopefully you can reset those genes and in the future tolerate some of the foods you will be giving up.
It sounds like you can follow the BSS basic plan while omitting eggs and nuts.
You would need to…[Read more]-

Yes, listening to our bodies is huge! That is how I discovered I had a sensitivity to sugar a couple years back. I couldn’t explain it in medical terms at the time. I have been insulin resistant for most of my adult life. It was not recognized 40 years ago, but I did have severe low blood sugar problems that were diagnosed. Julia, buy the Blood Sugar Solution book. The program is already Gluten and Dairy free, and I think you’ll find plenty of options to be able to live without the other foods you need to avoid. Best to you.

Hi Julia, i wanted to add that going at your own pace is very important to success on the BSS plan. Planning ahead is crucial for anyone eating a restricted diet. Don’t leave home without something you can eat, because it can be difficult to find acceptable meals on the spur of the moment,

Hey Julia, how are you doing? I live without Dairy, Gluten & Yeast and it’s actually quite simple. Eggs is a sad thing to be allergic to but there are ways around it. Fish is delicious and can be eaten at any time of the day and is also a super food!
You just need to get creative. If you want some ideas, let me know!
