Step 1.
Dry Ingredients
1 & 1/2 cups Almond Flour (you can make this, or buy it – however most store bought Almond flour is not raw)

Nicole replied 4 months ago
I agree that I most likely didn’t store 3 lbs of fat because of one extra salad with chicken. I just thought that the shift in body weight over a day’s time was interesting when the only variable was an additional meal consisting of an extra large salad with chicken. I’m sure that my weight will be down again real soon. Nicole

Thanks, CW,
I agree with what you said. In fact, I think that my refusal to have treats (except for that problematic pumpkin bread I love so much) in part caused me to “cut loose” and go for it when I gave myself the ok. Weight & Obesity 7 months agowell…i found out what has been bothering my stomach since i started BSS in May. it’s the PGX!!! good grief, i thought it was food this whole time. i decided to quit- and voila, my tummy is much better! so what now…if i can’t take that…is there another fibre option that would be close?
-
Nicole replied 7 months ago
How is your hunger level. I never did use the PGX because I didn’t feel I needed it to control my hunger. I eat lots of vegetables and salads and recently started the ultra shakes in the morning with flax seed and vegetable protein. I’m on Day 3 of week 16 Nicole

Amy replied 7 months ago
what is PGX?
-
Nicole replied 7 months ago
Hi Amy – You will learn about PGX on page 222 on week 2. it is a fiber supplement that helps control appetite that is part of the supplements that Dr Hyman advocates. Nicole

Hi, C,
You had such difficulties and I am so glad you were able to figure out the problem. -
Margaret Foster replied 7 months ago
Hi, If you just need fiber for your digestive tract, try using ground flax seed. If you are using PGX to cut your appetite, find something to eat that will satisfy after a few bites. The muffins, blueberry or your pumpkin ones do it for me. Or a few almonds or pickles.
There is no requirement for using the PGX. I suggest it because it worked for…[Read more]

Hi CW, It looks like you have another hit on your hands! Your pumpkin muffins have been very popular here. I do not bake much, so do you think there is a difference between baking with raw or roasted almond meal? I keep either type in the freezer to avoid going rancid.
Thanks for the recipe, Margaret

Hi cwright, your pumpkin muffns are one of my favorite snacks, along with Margaret’s blueberry muffins. So THANK YOU for sharing the recipes. The cookies above sound delicious! I think I’ll try baking some this week, with less honey.
