I’m having a problem for the last 3 to 4 weeks, I can’t seem to lose weight I keep yo yoing back and forth one or two pounds. It seems like everytime I diet I get stuck at this weight and can’t go any lower. I still have 40 pounds to lose. I hope I don’t have to go back to the beginning to get the scale moving again. • Carol plateaus are common . I agree they are frustrating and can last for months. Finding a way to break thru the plateau can be challenging. Mostly you just have to wait it out but you could also go back on the advanced plan if you got off and re evaluate your portion sizes. I have changed that times I eat to allow more time for my blood sugars…[Read more]

    • Hi, Carol,
It might help to keep a log of everything you eat for a week to tell you exactly what’s going on. I have found that extra amounts of water helped with a plateau. Also, keeping my foods not only ”slow” carb but low carb, as well. Hang in there. The scale will start moving again.

How do we make kale chips?

    • I place Kale in a 250 degree oven for about 20 mins. You can add olive oil and sea salt if you like. Check your chips often as each oven is different. Place in a paper bag when done. Pllastic tends to sweat and make the chips soggy. Also I like to remove the stems prior to making chips.

There isn’t a chart. You are in suspense for ages until you cross that threshold. You do that by utilizing your online tools (see the headings above). When you calculate the BMI and other things by keying in your weight and inches, you will see what I mean. Since there is no chart, you are left wonderfing what weight brings about…[Read more]

I’m also mildly pre-diabetic. I have major blood sugar swings. When I started the program I suffered from horrible fatigue. By the second week when I started the supplements, I began to feel much better. I’m guessing it just takes some time to adjust. Your body has to get used to the change.

I tried making these on the weekend but all the blueberries spell to the bottom, but they were big frozen blueberries I’m thinking that is the reason why. I ended up throwing all of them in the garbage, has this happened to anyone else?

    • Hi Carol, I use the wild organic blueberries from Trader Joe’s. Were the berries still frozen solid when added? I think it would be too much liquid if the berries were thawed out before adding. Sorry for your mishap, but I am thankful you shared it.
