I like to eat boiled eggs for breakfast but now that I can’t have mayo with them I find them dry. Any ideas of something I could add to them to give it some creaminess? Help please!

    • I like to add some dill pickle relish to make devilled eggs. They are moist and tasty.

    • how about olive oil? You can make your own mayonnaise or use a brand without sugar and additives. Mayonnaise is in fact oil and eggs with a bit of lemon or vinegar. Olive oil and dry mustard or curry powder might be interesting.
      Good luck, Margaret

      • Isn’t mayo a processed food? How could I make my own mayo, that would be awesome, you’re a genius Margaret

        • If you eat a small amount of mayo it will probably be ok. Check the label to see the ingredients. Not all canned or jar food is forbidden. Capers, olives, pickles (without sugar) and canned tomatoes are fine even though they are processed.
You can get recipes for mayo on the internet. It can be made in a blender or by hand. It can be tricky because you are emulsifying the oils and if you ’miss the mark’ you have a soupy mess. It can be worked with and there will be articles on line about that. Many people love home made mayonnaise better than store bought.
Good luck. I am in my fifth month so I have a bit of Best Foods (Hellman’s) mayonnaise once in a while. It was one of my favoritw things before BSS.

    • How about hummus.

    • Have you tried Vegenaise? I think it is allowed.

    • The best thing to use is avacadoes vinegar and. Spices. Just mass it up with egg yolk.
