    • Maybe you need to consider changing health plans or doctors. The HMO plan that I am on…has everythng computerized. And I get an email link as each test result is posted and this is always within 24 -48 hours of when I go in and have the tests done. I can also look at my history for each test result and go on line and read what my doctor or…[Read more]

    • Sounds wonderful to me. Good to here you got right back on the program. I got back my blood work from my MD. Lipids improved. Still have a way to go before normal. No meds for it though. HgA1C almost to the 5% club 6.2. Thyroid improving I guess. Synthroid dose gone from 200mcg, now 150mcg. Wk12D1 lost 28lbs so far. Love to hear about your progress.

      • Hi Nicole, Lots of us have had to work on portion control, once we got the right foods in our diet. Also, good for you, noticing that you might need more protein or oil with your food. Those things can slow the carbs down and smooth out the spikes. I eat 1-2 ozs of animal protein with meals and go heavy on the olive oil.

        • Usually the lightheadedness should not be terribly extreme on BSS, and even on Atkins it should go away inside of two weeks. It’s usually a symptom of dehydration or running out of electrolytes (aka, “salt” — easily found in pickles, for instance). Very likely if you’re exercising.
