In reply to: Margaret Foster posted an update in the group Recipes Hi There. Here is the Blueberry muffin recipe that many people have enjoyed. If you are missing baked goods or bread this will fill the gap! Blueberry Muffins […] ViewYou could substitute carob chips. Carob chips are made out of carob powder. They are similar in appearance and texture to chocolate chips, although the taste is distinctly different from that of chocolate. Carob is a naturally sweet substance, so there is generally no sugar added to the chips during manufacture. Carob chips also lack the…[Read more]

In reply to: Rae Beisel posted an update in the group Recipes Good morning! I am just starting out and have a question about oils. While I am fine with olive oil, I have found that I like gradeseed oil a little better for […] ViewI use the light olive oil for cooking and it does great. You can also use sesame oil. And i love using the extra virgin coconut oil in place of butter on my sweet potato and in Quinoa “Cream of Wheat”. It does have a little cocnut flavor and tastes sweet to me, so it wouldn’t work in everyhing. The coconut oil is also in some of the smoothie…[Read more]

I even doubled the recipe because I thought […] ViewThat”s funny! Mine were way too dry! I was planning to alter the recipe next time and use less pecans. Maybe add something to moisten them up.
Did you follow the recipe exactly, Elaine?

My cans of salmon were 6 oz. so that was different. I was thinking if I made it again I would modify it and not let it get so gloppy and roll the cakes in the pecan crumbs. I do want to make some version of it because I love salmon and pecans. That is so strange your’s turned out dry. Now you’re making me wonder if I did make a mistake. …[Read more]

EVOL bowls might also do in a pinch, but haven’t explored them as much. You definitely wouldn’t want to make it a regular practice, but it helps in a time crunch.

Of course the big difference is the fruits you eat are limited. I also closely watch how much protein I am eating. Limiting it to max 4 oz per meal.

13 pounds in 3 weeks is fantastic! You will lose more, when your body is ready. I am also in a plateau and just may have gone up a bit this week (I chalked it up to sleepy eyes this morning) but my parents were here last week so I wasn’t as careful so it may be true. All in good time it will come off. All the best.

I had the same issue..I thought maybe I could eat any old protein bar, but they’re full of junk. I started drinking smoothies and this satisfies much more tham a bar, in my opinion. Good luck!
