I am also bran new at this, almost finished the book and I find many interesting insights and advise for Diabetes from Dr Hyman,
I do take supplements and watch my diet, I do not consider my self as being diabetic, I am just a little sweeter than most men.

I would be concern about Soy milk and GMO unfortunately this is not in the label. -

If the soy is organic it can’t be GMO.
