It reminds of a recipe I used to have for Korean pancakes – it had a lot of vegetables in it too, but I can’t remember what else. I’ll have to give this a try. barbara

I fell off the diet big time some months ago, gained weight (of course) and am now looking to restart. I do still serve some of my favorite recipes from the book – but am eating a lot of things that need to go! I have chronic stress in my life due to my husband’s medical conditions and when it gets acute the diet goes. So besides stress…[Read more]

In reply to: JANINE posted an update in the group Diet & Nutrition Cruising through the net to find smoothie recipes, I found ”green” smoothies made with spinach or kale. Honest opinion about the taste of these smoothies from […] ViewSpinach and chard have a milder, sweeter taste than kale. I make my green smoothies without fruit, but most people like them sweeter & add fruit. I made one today that was a bit tangy, but not bad -really clears the brain fog! I used 2 stalks celery, about 6 leaves of chard (stems removed), 1 cup water, 1/4 lemon juiced, 1/4 of an avocado, and 2…[Read more]

Do you need a juicer or will a blender work?
-
Susan replied 11 months, 1 week ago
I just bought a Ninja blender and it works GREAT for smoothies. Was surprised that for $99.00 I could blend a couple cups of spinach, several frozen strawberries, flax oil, kiwi, and a touch of coconut milk to a smooth finish!

Many people on this site have gotten off their meds. If cholesterol is a concern, there are natural ways to deal with it.

Hi hawaii barbara. thanks for your response, I will check out this functional medicine doctor thing. i don’t know what that is. I’m also going to try some supplements that I didn’t do during the first 6 weeks. I’ve gone back in the book and looked at some of the things that help with cholesterol especially.

In reply to: Jorge posted an update I did the quizzes but I have everything in the book, and the programs are to expensive, I think I need to wait on this until i finish the book ViewDid you take the on line quizes? At the end they tell you which supplements to start taking (it’s a smaller amount that everyone takes – either basic or advanced plan) then, the other areas you re-test after the six weeks and address each area one at a time. Also many people experience benefits without taking supplements if you cannot afford any.

Hi, Barbara,
So far I am only cutting celery in advance, but I have that every day with my morning snack of almond butter, and often with my afternoon snack of hummus or eggplant dip.
