I have been on the advanced program since Monday. I have been losing weight YAY, but my blood sugar isn’t changing much. Those of you with diabetes on the program, how long did it take for you to see results? I’m not on medication, I had one elevated test in February & the doctor told me I was diabetic (before that I was classified as prediabetic for about 9 months), I run/walk six days a week for 60 minutes, work out with a personal trainer 3 days for 45 minutes. My waking morning numbers are always the highest. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Forgot to mention I have about 50 lbs to lose. I guess I expected more immediate results. I’m hoping I just need to be patient.

I started Monday, too. I have lost weight but my sugar is the same too. Blows me away. I am trying to not be discouraged so it helps that someone else is experiencing the same thing. I am just hoping by the end of a week’s time, it will drop a lot. Let’s keep working hard and support each other. Good luck.

maybe you can try eating different things and see what effects your blood sugar and how. When I was pregnant with my son 11 months ago, I had gestational diabetes and it was weird the things that would effect it and what wouldn’t. For example, I could actually eat a candy bar and not have that high of a reading, but I did notice that beans, corn, and basically any type of starchy veggie or grain would effect it greatly. I’d get super high readings. What you eat before bed is hugely important. Try to limit your carb intake as much as possible and I always took a magnesium, D3 and calcium supplement before bed. If you haven’t started taking any supplements it’s a good idea to try some that Dr. Hyman recommended. FYI, you can find some good quality vitamins at a lower cost at vitacost.com. Good luck and stick with it. I’m sure you’ll see some significant improvements.
