Diet & Nutrition 1 year, 1 month agoCan someone tell me how to get the free coaching that was listed on the boards a few days ago by one of the nutrition counselors? I entered ’freecoach’ into the promo code, but it did not work. If it’s no longer valid, can one of the nutrition counselors weigh in and advise us.

Diet & Nutrition 1 year, 1 month agoNewbie question …… on the advanced plan are strawberries allowed? I saw that a certain amount of ’berries’ were allowed per day and saw blueberries, cherries, blackberries, raspberries indicated, but strawberries weren’t on the list. Help from a veteran would be greatly appreciated.

I hope so, I’ve been eating my 1/2 cup now for the past 3 days. My favorite berry and this is the right season too.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for us. -

Recipes 1 year, 1 month agoThere are a lot of recipes out there that call for sugar or sugar substitutes. Has anyone found any natural ingredients that can be added in their place? Are honey, maple syrup or agave nector allowed or good replacements from anyone’s experience?

I am just not eating anything that calls for any types of sugars at all-even though I am growing a stevia plant. I figure, why mess with success? I have lost 14 pounds for April!

Recipes 1 year, 1 month agoOkay, I probably shouldn’t ask this because alcohol isn’t allowed, but if one were to have a few drinks when maintaining, does anyone have any suggestions / recipes that would contain natural ingredients and be sugar/sugar sub free?

Robb Wolfe of The Paleo Diet recommends if YOU HAVE TO DRINK ALCOHOL (and why do you?) 2 oz gold tequila with juice of one whole lime and splash of club soda.

I live in Mexico and order Margaritas “sin azucar” without sugar, which includes no triple sec etc, with only tequila, fresh lime and, as Sharon quotes above, a splash of club soda, but here it’s agua mineral. Liking Margaritas on ice in a salted glass, that’s how I order them (or I did before I started this program and I guess I will again…[Read more]

Diet & Nutrition 1 year, 1 month agoNewbie here …. day 3. I’m feeling really hungry and craving sweets and caffeine, but have held strong. I’m hoping someone can help explain something to me because perhaps I missed it. Are you only allowed to have breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner + 1/2 c. berries on the advanced plan? Also, I have been following the recipes laid out in the…[Read more]

Hi, If you look under my downloads (top of page) you will see there is a list of vegetables and you can have those in unlimited quantities. People are having snacks like celery or jicama with almond butter or hummus for snacks. You can have some hummus on the advanced plan even though it has garbanzo beans. There are other recipes in the recipe…[Read more]

3 meals plus two snacks is the ideal. But if you need more, you can have unlimited green, non-starchy vegetables.
