Hi all, 5 years ago I was diagnosed with pbc (primary billiary cirrhosis), then in october I lost all feeling in my legs, I had to have emergency operation, I had to disc removed and a titinium cage inserted in my neck,, this didnt work, so last nov 2011, I had to have a lamenectomy and bolts put in as I was still losing spinal fluid, so now I’am in a wheelchair, so you can imagine how hard it is losing weight, I’m so unhappy as It just seems that I cannot lose any weight, and this is really depressing me, I seem to have bloated up so much, I also have ibs and asthma. I would love to hear from anyone who is going through the same and has been successful. thanks xx

    • Welcome Joanne! I’ve not been through anything like you have – but I wanted to welcome you and let you know this is a great supportive community here. You will certainly lose weight on this program.

    • Hi Joanne and welcome. No, I have certainly not experienced what you have gone t hrough. I am sure there others out here that have similar experiences or parts of what you have experienced. If you are anywhere near a major university, you might check and see if there are any adapive physio programs that you could particpate in. Many folks using wheelchairs can do different types of aquatic exercies or modified isometrics. You might check around and see if there is anything that might help.

There are a lot of us out here working on this. Keep coming back and let us know how you are doing.
