After completing 5 weeks, with 3 actual weeks of preparation (yes, it took that long because I had to come to terms with giving up coffee), and weeks 1 and 2 of plan, I have lost 23 pounds!!! I feel great! I now weigh 242, which is the weight I reached on my own 4 years ago after losing 60 pounds over a 16 month period. I gained back 23 pounds. Now, I feel like I am really at the starting point for losing weight. My goal is 160-165. I can’t wait to be in the 230’s.

    • Prep takes as long as it takes. I agree you are in the right place now! After a while, it will just be ”this is how I live – what I eat and how I exercise” – and the weight will just do what it does. If you’re like me, you’ll just feel so good that you wouldn’t live a different way, and the weight loss will be a pleasant side effect. When I used to diet, my focus was the scale. Now, it’s feeling good.

You are so right about feeling good. As many times as I have dieted over the last thirty years, I have never felt so cravings-free and comfortable with the way I am eating and living. This feels right. I suspect the healthy people of the world have been eating this way all along.
