Sleep Problems 1 year ago I slept well the first week, but week 2 and now week 3, back to my old, bad sleep patterns. I exercise each morning, drink my water before 8 p.m., and don’t eat less than 3 hours before bed. No matter how sleepy I feel in the evenings, I have trouble falling and staying asleep.I even resorted to black tea last week because my poor sleep was leaving me too tired in the a.m. to function with just green or white tea. I don’t know why???












Jrhs, is this a chronic problem for you? I have chronic insomnia, have had for many years. I resorted to medication for a time but discontinued it due to developing a reaction to it. Have you tried the suggestions in the book? For myself, sometimes I try everything and still have trouble. I know how exhausting it is! If I can’t sleep after an hour or so I get up, has a relaxing type of herb tea – or I might do some stretching first, then have the tea. Reading wakes up my brain, so I don’t do that. I’ve found I have to not watch TV in the evenings after say 6 pm, I have to have a dark room, the temperature can’t be too high, and I don’t try to go sleep until after my kids are down for at least an hour, lol, as I have to unwind! There are lots of suggestions in the book and sometimes it takes several things combined. Also, I’ve become sensitive to emf’s and have to make sure our router is off and my cell phone is either off or out of the room. Hang in there, try different things, consult with your doctor for a plan for when you haven’t had a good nights sleep for 3 days. Wish you well, Barbara
Thanks for all the suggestions. I haven’t slept well for years. I was so delighted in the first week on plan because I slept, then, nothing. I haven’t been reading in the evenings, which is my norm. I hope that with time it will all work out. I feel so fantastic in every other way. It is only my third week.
