    As the weeks have gone by, I am finding my daily walks are becoming more vigorous and my energy levels are increasing. Growing strength in my legs has decreased discomfort I used to experience with one of my knees, too. All good.

        Incredible as it may sound, I am actually beginning to enjoy the challenge of walking faster and faster. Over this past weekend, I found myself looking forward to the next day’s walk. Happily, it is getting easier as I lose more weight, too! I want to give yoga another try. It was my goal for this year to begin and maintain a yoga regimen, but when you weigh as much as I did, yoga can be a bit risky, as my lower back will attest. Doing downward facing dog is precarious, to say the least. I am looking forward to being slim enough to maybe even take classes later this year. I have a photo of a woman doing a yoga position on my fridge. One day, maybe I can replace it with a photo of myself!

        • Funny you should say this. Today I noticed for the first time that I am not as winded and have more stamina than I had previously when I walk. My neighbor and I walk about 3 miles a couple of times a week. Today was one of those days. I am anxious to weigh and measure tomorrow. A couple of things I have tried on seem bigger on me. I think I am finally losing some inches. Yea! Tomorrow aerobic dance class and Pilates on the ball class. I’ll report tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

            I am sure you will do great on the scale. Pilates on the ball? Must be tough. I have some areas I need to focus on to help prevent me from having excess skin problems. I just bet pilates would do the trick, but I don’t know if I am up to something so difficult. I will look into a DVD, perhaps.
            Keep up the great work. You don’t have much to lose, do you?
