I have a beautiful pleated-skirt, silk, classic-style dress I purchased in the late 1980’s. I loved this dress so much and because is was and is such a classic style, I kept it for the past 25+ years or so hoping one day I might be able to wear it again. Over this past weekend I pulled the dress out and gave it a try and it fit perfectly. Today, I am happily wearing my georgeous dress and even purchased a pair of pumps to wear with it-my first heels in decades!!! I am feeling kind of like my old self, today!

    • Wow that is exciting. I tried a whole bunch of clothes over the week end . Isn’t it fun to get into things that we love and haven’t been able to wear. I’m at day 1of week 9 and feeling so great- still at 169.5 but optimistic that the scale will show me a lower number some day soon.

      • I sympathize with your frustration with the scale. Trying on smaller clothes helps reassure us that our bodies are changing even if the scale is sluggish about dropping. I expect that in the upcoming months, as I get closer to goal, that I will see the scale begin to move more slowly. I hope I can cope as well as you are doing.

YAY!!!!! I have a pair of black jeans that i have kept for 12 years and i can’t wait to fit into them again! I am so happy for you!

    • I am so excited for you Janine, you are a mentor. I am on week 3 day 7 and can’t wait to fit into some older clothes. I have a pair of pinstriped burgundy slacks that I used to wear to work, it is the only thing of my old clothes that I did not get rid of because like you I love them so much, I look forward to the day when I can fit into those again. Keep up the good work!!!

      • Hi, Carol,
I look forward to your and Eva’s posts alerting us that you are once again fitting into those favored old pieces. Can’t wait.
