I need to know how long the “shelf life” is of the broth. I made broth almost 2 weeks ago. It’s been in the fridge in canning jars . Is it ok to still drink?

Inflammation 6 months, 1 week agoI made the broth recipe about a week and a half ago. I never used it. How long can it stay good in the fridge? It’s in canning jars.

In reply to: apple123 posted an update in the group Diabesity / Diabetes I’ve only recently found this site and heard of Dr Hyman’s book The Blood Sugar Solution. You will find Sugar Solution (BSS) different in many ways. More information regarding glycemic index, supplements, health quizzes, etc. have all been updated. A few of the foods found in the older books are not used in BSS. Some of the information repeats, some has changed. If you want something specific for blood sugar management, then you will…[Read more]

Autoimmune Disorders 1 year, 1 month agoI think my body is hyper sensitive to everything. I can’t seem to tolerate any fragrances, lotions, or most foods. I’m following the ultrasimple diet and I think the broth or some of the veggies I am eating are giving me a rash on my face. It’s really hard to know what is causing the rash. Wondering why people are not more active on here. I find the ultrasimple diet book outlines what needs to be done but it would be nice to have a little more support and knowledge when my questions arise. I really want to be successful with this.

Acid Reflux & Heartburn 1 year, 1 month agoI have my daughters dance competition coming up. I am doing the Ultra simple diet. Any recommendations on what food to take to get me through the day? I don’t think the shakes and broth are very good options.

How about almonds or celery sticks or jicama? I do not know what that diet entails. Margaret

hummus, gluten free pretzels, veggies dipped in the hummus, olives, almonds or pecans, almond butter on gluten free bread for lunch. These were among the things I ate today and I felt I had plenty of food.

In reply to: tleake posted an update in the group Recipes I am having trouble finding unsweetened almond milk. Has anyone tried making there own? it seems easy enough. ViewReally? I see it in my local grocery store all the time. Actually I bought some on accident.

The ones I see have a bunch of ingredients I don’t recognize and I’m pretty sure at least one is a sweetener, but definitely more than 5 ingredients and lots of processing. Though I found organic, unsweetened soy milk easily.

Help, I think I started this diet prematurely. I have not been able to find the combo flax and borage oil. If you put it in the jars hot or warm and refrigerated it within a few hours it may still be fine. You can tell by the look and smell if it ok. If there is a small film of fat on the top, it is still good, the fat creates a seal that keeps bacteria out. So check the broth ASAP and use at once if it is fine.
You can always add a few vegetables to a…[Read more]
