Stress 1 year ago So as a new member, this is my first post… I am struggling with some life stuff from a cross country move almost 1 year ago to Southern CA from RI for a job my husband accepted to developmental and medical issues with my 3 y/o daughter (diagnosed with a motor speech disorder, autism, and recently epilepsy. I am hardly aware sometimes of what I need, what I’m feeling, much less how to care well for myself so I can ask care for others. So thats why I’m here. I believe that when I’ve reached the outer limits of my ability to cope well, my M.O is to close off and anestitize the painful or too stressful stuff with food. I’m aware enough to know this and with help from The Blood Sugar Solution and a place to ”think out load”, so much more becomes possible. Thanks for hearing my thoughts.

Wow Kelly, you have got a lot on your plate. Sorry to hear about your daughter’s diagnosis. Are you in an area where there are support groups for parents with differently-abled children?
Sometime during each day, take one minute for yourself. Relax. Breathe. Assess what you need/want. Or just stare off into space.
All I can tell you is: hang in there. You are not alone!
Oh, and it is OKAY to voice what you want/need for YOU.
