I want to thank Barb and Margaret for their encouraging words. The hyperventilation has decreased and I can feel myself reaching deeper for the determination and discipline to do this. Remembering this is only 7 weeks out of the next forty helps. Heck, breaking the sugar pull seems to be about 3 days. I can do that, but I better plan on 7 because I can do 3 now without a problem, but then it calls to me and I see it everywhere and since I can’t stop going everywhere, I need a plan. Online ordering, all the craft projects I have accumulated things for, but haven’t started. Hmmm. gardening. You can’t eat when you sew or garden.

Perfectionism is an old enemy of mine, so I need to plan to counter that as well as cleaning the kitchen out and the rest of my head. While I want to do it right, I may want to slip and my desire is to be mindful of what I’m doing. Pay attention. Pay attention. Pay attention. But don’t obsess. Oh, boy. Something new to learn.

    • Hi Kristina,
Most cravings disappear when you ignore them for a week. Cigarettes may take 3 weeks, salt is a tough one I never managed completely.
it sounds like you could do with some stress releasing. Did you ever hear about EFT or meridian tapping? I think it’s a great tool and Dr Hyman advises it as well. Brad Yates, an EFT wizard, posted a lot of short sessions on youtube, including about perfectionism. :-) If you start out with Tap o’ the Mornin’ you’ll get the hang of it.
