Hi Laurie – corn is a grain and is off the plan for the six weeks. I hate to say it but I think this snack is a no-no. (I feel your pain – popcorn is a favourite snack of mine too)

if you’re on the basic plan, popcorn is just fine. i cook mine in coconut oil…and add a little salt, and sometimes nutritional yeast, perfect!

Hi Laurie, Check under My Downloads at the top of this page. One of the PDFs talks about portions and lists popped corn. You will have to pop it yourself, rather than getting a package. Check the ingredients of most micro wave pop corn, they are not good.

Sleep Problems 10 months, 2 weeks agoI did not mention below that we learned via blood work that I basically had no vitamin D! It was only in the books that I learned taking Vit D and calcium was fine and good but for the body to use it I needed magnesium. Checking my diet–I ate nothing that had magnesium, nor was it in my Women’s One-Daily Whole Food Multi-Vitamin. ugh. I added…[Read more]

What a tale! Unfortunately your stort reflects that of millions of Americans. As Dr. Hyman says, we have doctors for everything. Physicians rarely look at the body as a whole system and instead, break it up into pieces (which doesn’t make a ton of sense!)
