    Just go for it!

  • I was not happy that I had to give up fruit on this diet (I’m allergic to berries), but I do feel better now. I still fall asleep after a meal, but now it’s half an hour and I wake up rerfreshed. I used to crash after a meal, sleep for 2-3 hours and wake up groggy.

Hearttash is right, you’re detoxing. Drink lots of water to speed up this proces. Sweating also helps, so going to a sauna will do you good. Hi Janine,

    Wow, great work!
You’re very smart to stay away from foods that might ignite cravings again. It’s not worth it. It will start the struggle all over again and you’ll be back at square one trying to beat them.

    Hi Joyce,
If you think about going raw, see the movie ”Raw for 30 days”
It’s about a group of 5 diabetic people who go raw for 30 days, under medical supervision, in a resort in Arizona. One of them was a young guy who had type 1.
All of them improved their health dramatically.

Giving in is not being polite, it’s being stupid. Just a little bit will be enough to start your cravings agian. This goes for all kind of things: cheese, cigarettes, chocolat, gluten, etc.

    Hi Mary,
I score pretty high with food allergies and hayfever. However, after I had optimized my gut, under supervision of an alternative healthcare provider, it’s a lot better. I’m new here as well. I didn’t even get the result from the insuline response test yet, so maybe there is an other, perfectly good reason that I keep falling asleep after a meal. However, I have my doubts.

    Hi Janine,
    Thanks for your encouraging words.

I can see your point. Are you type 1 or type 2?

Generally our body does everything it can to survive and repair itself given half the chance.
However, some people are more sensitive to certain things than others. By taking good care of your body it’s quit possible to avoid those things. Eating a big bowl of ice cream is not the way to take good…[Read more]

The difficulty is that we are all at slightly different stages of this journey. We have…[Read more]

Once again, I agree with you : there is indeed a possibility that diabetes can’t be cured/reversed but at least, it can be managed with lifestyle adjustments and WITHOUT medication for many people. And that is where BSS is so inspirational.
