In reply to: Jess posted an update in the group Weight & Obesity Morning all! Well I suppose I have to admit that I was a bit discouraged at my 5 week weigh in because the scale didn’t move. But on the bonus side it didn’t […] ViewI am on week 2. I did my measurements & I’m so glad I did. Even though the weight loss was a very decent 3.5 lbs my measurements dropped by a total of 26 inches. It was much needed motivation. Definately encourage doing measurements when getting started.

Inflammation 1 year, 1 month agoJust finished my first week on the advanced plan. Life is so good!!! It took to the 7th day to feel the energy I was hoping for. I woke up this morning without feeling sluggish and tired, my body hurts alot less and the stiffness is gone!!! Has been worth all the challenges this last week. I lost 3.5lbs & dropped a total of 26.5 inches. I…[Read more]

Inflammation 1 year, 1 month agoThis is my first week. After years of fighting chronic inflammation, hoping this will help. In the last few years my C-reactive protein levels have been as high as 8.1. My Dr freaked out. Cut out soy and that helped but didn’t bring my levels down far enough. Hoping this will take the levels down. Looking forward to the stiffness & pain to…[Read more]

Hi Lee, My arthritis is not flaring up at all (r & o) I have no stiffness when sitting for long periods of time. It is truly amazing to me. I personally think it is related to the grains for my body. I did not eat much processed food or sugars. Stay well,
Good luck to you ,Margaret

Recipes 1 year, 1 month agoSo it’s day 3 for me. Appreciate all the tips on the recipes. Thought I’d share mine from last night. Found a great recipe for these burgers. 1 lb ground chicken, 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, (I sliced open the the pepper and deseeded it then diced it into small pieces) approx 1 Tbs chopped garlic and about 2 Tbs finely diced onion and…[Read more]

Lee – this sounds wonderful. I’m making these on Saturday as the weather is supposed to be nice and I’m going to try them on the grill. These would be good with the black bean and corn salad in the ultrametabolism cookbook. ellie

Weight & Obesity 1 year, 1 month agoSo day 3 is soon to be over. Doing much better. My thinking processes are better already today and I can actually breathe through both nostrils! That doesn’t happen often. Keeps me encouraged to move into the next day. Forming new long term healthy eating habits will definately take time and patience on my part.

In reply to: lilstyler posted an update in the group Weight & Obesity Hello, I’m brand new to BSS. I just bought the book and have started skimming through it. I feel so anxious to get started that I went today and bought $200 […] ViewI too share many of these same feelings and experiences. Even though I am also about 90 lbs overweight, for the first time I have gone into this with the perspective of true health & not weight loss. I just want the pain I live with everyday to stop. I’m only on day 3 but am finding this easier then expected. The cravings are easing today and…[Read more]

Hi Lee, Green or white tea is allowed during the plan. Perhaps you can wean yourself off caffein by cutting down on coffee and drinking tea instead. There is no fix for sugar just take the tough road and do it. You will feel better afterwards. Good luck on your adventure toward better health. Margaret

Just getting started. My hope is to get free from the pain, stiffness, and exhaustion that is been a part of
my life for way to long. I am a new grandma and am caring for this precious one while my daughter finishes her schooling. Even though I am a young grandma of 42 I feel like I’m 62 most days.-
Margaret Foster replied 1 year, 1 month ago
I commented on your post above, but after reading this I want to say, you are giving your grandchild a real gift by following the program. You will have much more ability to keep up with a youngster. And more importantly you will live longer and that is sure to be a plus in the little ones life! You have a great incentive. Congratulations on the…[Read more]
