All that whey stuff does the same to me. I always end up falling into the trap of protein shakes, only to end up giving the horrible pwder away. I like the idea because it seems like a quick solution for a meal, but maybe we should just eat food?

How have you been? I am still tired…but I am hoping you are feeling better!

    • I just may not be as tired as I was. I still take a late afternoon nap most days but I do quite a lot during the day. I think I snore terribly so maybe I am not getting a restful sleep at night. I have been tested for apnea years ago and was pronounced, “no sleep apnea here”. Of course I don’t think I really slept that night with electrodes…[Read more]

      • Maybe you should be retested for sleep apnea. My health plan sent me home with a monitor that I took back the next morning. If you are snoring and tired all the time it could be that you didn’t have enough episodes of stopping breathing back then but do now. I have a love hate relationship with my Cpap. I hate having to use it but am more…[Read more]

        • Good idea! I will check into that. I knew when I had my earlier sleep study it could not have been very accurate because I slept not at all. I will ask my doctor about repeating it. Thanks for the idea! Yes, I wouldn’t love the CPAP but if I had more energy it might be worth it. I sleep so well now at night I sure would hate to mess that up.

          • if you are sleeping well and are not snoring most of the time and not feeling like you have to go back to sleep in the morning. You probably will score too low to qualify for sleep apmea. It’s like diabetes. You may have some signs of sleep apnea but unless you score high enough on their scale ( episodes of stopping to breath per hour has to be…[Read more]

Hi! Sorry for the late response, I have not been checking….anyway, to answer your question, I have been following the advanced program now for over 3 weeks. Previously, I was following a pretty carb controlled diet, but still I am tired.

Hello, I about 10 days into the advanced plan. I have been relieved from my cravings! I never thought that would happen! The weight does not seem to be moving quickly…but I will be patient. I am still taking my normal diabetic meds plus supplements. I still feel tired and have headaches. I must admit, I am not feeling great, but I have…[Read more]

You are going to feel fantastic before you know it! Hang in there. The hardest part-getting started-is behind you.

    • i hear ya! i didn’t feel that great for the first two weeks! i am 3.5 weeks in, and feel much better…so hang in there!

    • I felt awful at first too – was tempted to give up but when the 6weeks were over I felt so energetic and 10 lbs lighter! Also went off my meds. Am still on the advanced plan, I find my body doesn’t like carbs.

    • are you doing basic or advanced? i think the basic isn’t going to mess anyone up- so by adding half a cup of quinoa to lunch is all GOOD and could give you the energy you need!

Hello!! I am always tired. I have been tired for as long as I can remember. My whole family is this way, so I guess I thought it was normal. I know it is not normal and I wish to heal myself!

    • Hi, You may find some wonderful results with the BSS program. There have been many postings on this site with all sorts of positive results. The three things I have noticed people write about that have improved are blood sugar levels, arthritis, and energy levels. It looks like you have come to the right spot.
The plan is not easy the first…[Read more]

    • I am that way too – tired all the time. I sleep all night from about 11 to 7:30 and usually take an hour or longer nap in the afternoon. I was hoping this program would increase my energy too. I am about 30 pounds overweight and my bg was 113 so I also started the program for those reasons. I am in week 3 and I can’t decide if I have any more…[Read more]

I love that post – ”I’m always tired, and I’ve been tired for as long as I can remember.” That’s a classic. Pretty accurately describes me too. I also like your more recent post- ”Good morning, I’m still tired.” You could be a writer.

Hello! I am 36 and have been diabetic over 1 decade. I have always watched my food intake and enjoyed fitness, yet here I am, an overweight diabetic. I have faith that this program will help me gain control of my life and my diabetes.

I’ve also lost 30 lbs, and my cholesterol and inflammation levels have been significantly reduced, heading in the right direction. Hundreds of others have reported the same level of…[Read more]
