The basic plan is recommended. I can handle everything but the giving up of my one morning cup of coffee. that has been a habit since the age of ten, except when I was pregnant with each daughter over 30 years ago. Hmm-mm, I’ll have to think about this.

    • There’s a ”Double Matcha” tea by Republic of Tea that’s pretty hearty for a green. Good luck.

    • I think you will be surprised at what you can do if you want to do it. I didn’t drink coffee, but I needed my cup of black tea, well a couple of cups of black tea before I felt human. It took about a week before I realized that I was fine without the caffeine. I think it is not only kicking the habit, but also the diet itself that gives us the energy. Without the caffeine, sugar and wheat putting our bodies through a hellish roller coaster ride, we just don’t need that outside boost to give us energy or to feel alive. You did it for your daughters, now it is time for you to do it for you.

Thanks, you are so right. I’ll do it for myself, my daughters, and my grandsons. I certainly will put the energy boost to good use, since I am a retired teacher taking care of grandsons full time during the day (ages 21 mon. and 2 months).

it took 3 weeks of preparation for me to reach the point where I was ready to give up my coffee. While there have been mornings when I felt tired (sleep is a problem for me), and I cheated with black tea on those days, the habit of having white or green tea (both allowed) develops pretty easily and you at least having something warm to drink as you waken. jAfter a while, green or white tea is pretty good. You can really do this. You will soon see for yourself. It just seems impossible before you get started.
