    My first week and I lost 5 lbs. I was losing 5lbs a month before this week! Still adjusting and have much to learn but am so thrilled with the weight loss, helped by swimming!

    It may have been something I ate or nerves. It seems to have passed already. But I am very cranky and overwhelmed easily. Some sort of withdrawal. It’s also allergy season right now.

    I don’t know if it’s a sugar craving but I have missed like yogurt..something cool and creamy. The texture thing, I think. We have a Sweet Rush nearby that has frozen yogurt that doesn’t spike my blood sugar…maybe someday I can have that. In the meantime I am settling for smoothies to curb the craving.

    I had already gone cold turkey when I read your post..lol..which is fine. I only drank 2 cups of coffee a day. I am thinking..why would I want it back in my diet even later? The only time I might NEED caffeine is to prevent a migraine or when I have one.

    You cannot scrape yourself off the floor…without help. I will pray for you. I am hoping this program will free me of depression since it affects my life so much and for so long, even with medication. It would be much worse without medication, I am sure, but I still want it to be much less than it is. You are not alone, Meg. Remember that.

    • Thank you for your encouragement, Leigh! I am glad that there are other people who feel the same way. I have given up on medication, period. It does not seem to help me with my symptoms. I just want to reclaim my life!

    Second day of the cleansing. Feeling like crap. Slight headache and some nausea. That usually means I am detoxing. Detoxing is good even when it feels like shit.

    thank you, that’s a relief! I am suffering a headache right now and I have had ”silent migraines” that present like having a stroke. I am praying I don’t get those this time! I had decaf this morning …..

    • Read pages 161-62 in the book, which addresses how to eliminate caffeine in seven days. It is a gradual process. Don’t go cold turkey. Also, you can have 1-2 cups of green tea (contains small amount of caffeine) per day and unlimited herbal teas after starting the plan.       • I had already gone cold turkey when I read your post..lol..which is fine. I only drank 2 cups of coffee a day. I am thinking..why would I want it back in my diet even later? The only time I might NEED caffeine is to prevent a migraine or when I have one.

    • I ate extra protein and drank about 4 extra glasses of water and that made my caffeine headache go away when I first got off coffee. I use to have around 10 cups a day, and now I don’t miss it. Can’t say the same about sugar. I don’t crave sugar now at Week 2 Day 4, but I miss it sometimes, like an old lover…

    I just joined the group. One of my goals in starting this program is to get off all medicine, including depression medicine. I will be starting the cleansing period on Tuesday, the 29th. No white flour, sugar or stimulants. I have been doing the white flour and sugar, but 2-3 cups of coffee a day are hard to give up!
