    thanks margret for the feed back.unfortunetly,chocolate gives me acid and heartburn and nuts inflame my stomach,so i’m still on a mission to find a food that doesn’t bother me. I’m confident with a little trial and error, I’ll find something that works. I’ll conquer that sweet tooth yet.

    • Well Naomi, I do have another suggestion. This is strange but works for some people. You can trick or program your mind into thinking sugar is undesirable. When you have a craving for sweets think of a very unappetizing thing (like eating the sweets out of the gutter- or toilet) picture doing that and it may help end the cycle.     I just finished reading the book and am trying to not eat sugar.I don’t eat carbs right now or starchy vegetables so I won’t have a problem there, but the little sneaks of sugar here and there i can’t seem to get a hold on, any thoughts?

    • Is there something more healthy you can substitute, that will give you some satisfaction? What about a very small (bean sized) piece of dark( 73% or more) chocolate? Olives or pecans are my go to foods if I am feeling deprived. Good luck on the program. Margaret

      PS Cinnamon (a Lot) in a protien shake or in tea makes it taste sweet.
