    Smart move, Shanon! I did the same thing with the protein shake with berries every morning during the prep weeks. It is still my favorite meal after 8 weeks and 3 days.

    Week 6, Day 6 and I had a real shock this morning on the scale! It was lower than I’ve seen it in a few years! I’ve lost 20 lbs and am just amazed. I am following the program more closely and doing the morning walk first thing every day. Swiss chard and spinach are my new best friends! And I am doing better with sleep.     Susan, losing 8 lbs has certainly been in the right direction, but I understand being disappointed when the progress each week doesn’t show on the scale. I felt the same way!     Hi Maggie! I don’t know about melatonin, but I do know that exercise works for me and has no side effects (except increased weight loss!) Good Luck!

    Barb! Congrats on your good work! I have lost 14 lbs. so far and now know I want to continue eating healthy for the rest of my life. I gave away 3 bags food the prep week to a neighbor and yesterday she said she wanted to give me something for it. I told her she could give me a tomato plant and today she dropped it off! So I will be growing tomatoes, too!

    Hi Lisa! And Welcome! I am doing the Advanced plan. I have found it easy to just keep a lot of cut up vegetables ready in the fridge and canned salmon and sardines or beans ready to add to them with greens for a really fast salad.     Hi Jamie! Welcome to the plan! I never did find out what protein bars to get, so instead I keep a few hard boiled eggs in the fridge and take one with me most days and just have one and some sliced cucumbers or sliced yellow or red peppers for a snack. Sounds like you are well prepared! Good Eating!

I feel somehow more connected to what I am going to eat because I really, truly, know what it is I am eating!     Actually, I think you are doing really well and that 4 lbs is quite an impressive weight loss for such a short amount of time. For me, coffee was always a laxative and it was a bit trial and error to figure out to drink enough water. My error was always not drinking enough.

    Carolyn: Yes, we can have 1/2 cup berries per day on the Advanced plan! My local market had fresh raspberries and I really, really relished each and every one as I ate it. They taste so much better now that my taste buds have come back to life. So enjoy berries!
