Hi Guys, can any of you tell me if you had this problem? I have no issues with glucose plms. I always had good levels around 80s and 90s always no matter what I ate. Now I am on week 5 and since week 4, i have been experiencing low blood sugar and I don’t feel well anymore. I am getting headaches often and feel muscle pain and have blurred…[Read more]

    • I had this issue, too, in the same week. When I told my husband about it, he thought I might be in ketosis. I am just beginning to understand it myself, So go here: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/dear-mark-ketosis/#axzz1uqrw2NaQ for a simple explanation. If you search for ketosis and paleo diet, there is a lot of good info out there about it. I…[Read more]

    • Hi, I too had some low blood sugar issues. For me I think the PGX supplement helped the blood sugar levels. I was constipated, but after week 6 I was fine. I realized I was not eating enough food. As my meals got larger my intestines kicked into gear. I also introduced Quinoa at that time, I have since taken it out of my diet, but my gut is back to normal.

Coconut oil, cocoa powder (organic) and pure.. , and a little raw honey.. Quantities depend on how much you need… I add the almond butter or other…[Read more]

I also want to add that I think corn is a huge culprit of many problems. I find that it affects hormonal issues and menstruation, etc… Also, unles the corn is not GMO and organic, I would not even have it for a holiday cheat. I took out corn for the entire family about 3 years ago and it helped every one in different ways. It really alters the…[Read more]

Well, I don’t think those are good at all. The sugar alone should make them fly out of your hands like hot coals, but then Soy flour is really bad and there are so many grains and starches that it is likely to really throw your system off. It would be better for that to just buy some fruit or sugar snap peas or even a bag of carrots and hummus. I…[Read more]

I LOVE GOODWILL!!!! I wont shop anywhere else!! My kids love it too… Specially now if I want to keep buying our supplements, it is going to be even more necessary to shop there.. But we have the best ones here in my area…

    • I have a friend who lost about 80 pounds and always looked nice while doing it. Goodwill was her secret. It was a definite ”lift” for her to get new things and kept her focused on her ultimate weight-loss goal. When they became too big, she donated them back and got more.

Unsweetened hemp milk rocks! I love it, Tempt brand is the best.. They even have an unsweetened vanilla, but be careful because it looks exactly like the sweetened vanilla. It is purple and white, where the plain one is orange and white. Anyway, I use it in the morning in my cup of hot tea and it is great, I almost don’t miss my cup of coffee and…[Read more]

Coconut flour is very difficult to work with. It’s very healthy though and has no gluten and lots of fiber. However, it’s seldom used alone. I think it’s recommended that you use up to 20% of your flour requirements in coconut flour. So you would have to make up the difference in other flours. It also requires extra liquid. Years ago I…[Read more]

    • Almond flour and coconut flour are excellent choices for the transition and maintenance part of this program. However for these 6 weeks please choose all whole foods, nothing processed for the best results. This includes all flours, even gluten free!

So we can not coat chicken in almond flour for the first 6 weeks? I just made a batch.

        • Yes, you may coat your chicken in almond flour. The main goal is you will remain as flour free for 6 weeks as possible with exception of this homemade almond meal ever so often. Any recipes Dr. Hyman has provided for you are ”safe.” If you make the almond flour yourself, this is best so you know exactly what it is-no additives, sweeteners etc.
