In your book I was surprised to read that Agave is a forbidden food when it prides itself as ”Low Glycemic Organic Sweetener”. Please advise and tell me how/why raw honey is better. Thx!

    • For the people following the BSS plans no sugars, sweeteners are allowed. The point is to reset your system to a healthier level of operation, and along the way you get to realize how these inflammatory foods are effecting you.
Since most people seem to be addicted to sweeteners the only way to break that is to go cold turkey and have none of it.
I used agave before starting this plan. It is a processed sweetener (they do not just scoop out the agave, squeeze it and bottle it) RAW honey is basically scrapped from the hive and bottled. So it is not processed.
If all you want is the healthiest sugar for you then see how well you do with one and then see how well you do with the other.
      Blessings, Margaret

    • Agave is not natural and has more concentrated fructose than high-fructose corn syrup. It is made the same way high-fructose corn syrup is made. Stay away from it even after you are done with BSS. Below is a link to an article about it if you want to know more.

I know it is hard to give up the sweet stuff, I have never been able to do it before, but it is better to go cold turkey than try to indulge yourself. I promise that in a couple of weeks, you won’t miss it.
