1. Exercise is not the problem- regularly 3x/wk, no drippy nose etc.
2. Housecleaning (ie. kicking up dust) is not the problem, does not produce drippy nose any more than usual.
3. Tedious is the problem, is the trigger that turns on the mucous producing engine. Feels like a stress reaction. For example, brushing teeth…[Read more] -

After our old cat(over 20 years old) died, my husband and I have been much healthier, respiratory-wise. She lived in our garage, but she was a hairball factory and now that there is no longer fresh animal dander in our garage, it is not so much a problem to get in and out of our vehicles without getting sick.

Hi Phil, Dairy products are mucus causing, So when you cut out dairy that will help the amount of mucus. You could also be alergic to dust or something. I would run that one by your doctor if it persists after doing this plan.

If cleaning up the house is causing problems, it may be a dust sensitivity. HEPA filters work miracles in this situation. Just set one in the corner of the rooms you frequent the most and you’ll probably notice a difference quickly. They are pretty quiet – I run mine 24/7. Usually the bedroom is the most beneficial room to have one in because we…[Read more]

it takes a while for the sensitivities to totally leave us . Especially if you are still getting hidden dairy and gluten in some of your foods. Read your labels on the food you are consuming. One of my sensitivities was my peanut butter which I had for breakfast on toast for years and years. it was hard for me to give up this morning ritual.

Diet & Nutrition 11 months, 3 weeks agoYikes … I had a protein shake and vitamins for breakfast, and was ”rewarded” with 8 hours of severe bloating and medium nausea. This makes me angry. Hi Phil – The whey protein is dairy which is one of the things the BSS recommends eliminating. I have the same issues with even a little dairy and since I stopped it completely all of those GI type of symptons are gone. I use a protein powder made from pea, hemp, rice and chia seed. Hope that helps!

Hi Phil, I am not an expert by any means but for diagnosing DM the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test uses a fasting of >126 mg/dL and a 2 hr. of >200 mg/dL. You should see a spike at the 1 hr. level, remember they have given you a high concentrate of glucose in liquid form and even people without DM will spike. The key is that people without DM…[Read more]
