OK it’s good news. Last Mon I weighed 204.8 and this Monday 199.6, down 4.2# This is a move in the right direction after regaining the 10# I originally dropped. I feel I am back on the right track. Looking forward to eating my BSS recipes. I have turkey spinach meatloaf, cabbage chicken soup, salmon patties all ready to go. Also split pea…[Read more]

Thanks for the encouragement. I’m back on track. I will weigh myself Monday and see what shows up. I’m looking forward to it. Only one more day to be concerned about before that morning comes. I’m giving it to God and my BSS receipes. And vigilance.

Used to have acne, but since on BSS it has disappeared. On whole, skin is in better condition, but still have scars from the past. I’m pleased though and think it’s due to BSS, but not sure what part of BSS is responsible.

    • Hi Prudence, As you slowly reintroduce foods your may notice what is bothering your system. I am in month 6 and have noticed wheat and many grains are a problem for me. Also, I am not diabetic but sugars cause me problems. My problems are not with acne; they are inflammation related, joint pain, restless leg syndrome and foggy brain.
      Stay well, Margaret

First month dropped 10# Second month picked it back up (ate everything in sight off program). Now i’m down 6# of those ten so am glad my body and the Lord and the BSS recipes are allowing me to release the weight again. Cooked up a storm last week and have good stuff to eat here.

    • Hi Prudence, That is awesome you cooked up food, I did the same thing so I would have food to take to work and food when I get home. I am so busy at work, rarely sit down and so I am tired when I get home. I even make up smoothies for breakfast and freeze them. I have no excuse to skip a meal. I have been on the BSS for a week and I love it. I…[Read more]

    • prudence- welcome back. .good luck with the resumption of your journey to better health. Nicole

    • It is great that you choose to walk the healthy path. The key to my success is cooking in large batches so I always have something to eat that is on the plan. If I stray for a meal it will be in a restaurant.
You can be successful when you are ready! Remember 10 pounds a month adds up quickly. That is 120 pounds in a year.
      Blessings, Margaret

      • I would love to lose 10 lbs in a month! But I am happy with my 6-8 pounds a month being that I am still on insulin 2 x a day.

I, too, am looking for more recipes. However, I haven’t gotten thru the first week’s full yet! This is because they make 4 servings, usually, so I’m cooking that much, but saving in the refrig or freezing for later. I’m slowly working my way through the first week’s list! Still, I’m looking for even more recipes. I think the ones I’m…[Read more]

I’m afraid that I might be slipping and I’m only on day 1 of the 2nd week! Today I ate about 4 servings of homemade hummos, then wasn’t hungry for lunch. At lunch, bean salad with pesto chicken, at 330 p.m. Then was tired, and instead of taking a nap, I ate 1/4 c. of nuts and 4 (BSS) muffins! I’m afraid this is a habit from my past eating…[Read more]

    • Hi, Prudence,
Nicole had great advice for you. I would add that you need to plot out your daily meals and snacks in the morning so that you know what you will be eating and when. Don’t vary from that plan and you will find things much easier. Even after 17 whole weeks, I found myself reaching for food too often this past Sunday. Each day is…[Read more]

    • Hi Prudence, You will find your way. After three weeks I had breakfast 3-4 times a week. I do not like to eat in the morning and never have. I am not hungary. I am in week 18 and seldom have more than two meals a day but…[Read more]

I still take an hour nap in the afternoonn. However, this is down from 2 and 3 hour naps. I found myself today eating 4 muffins (BSS), 1/4 c. of nuts instead of dinner. Just to say I’m not hungry. Part of this is that my two snacks, which I regularly include, are the deviled eggs and roasted nuts and seeds, both recipes in BSS. These are filling snacks. Make sure you have filling snacks, like these, and I think you’ll be alright. :)
