I have been taking levothyroxine ( i think its the generic for Synthroid) – 75 mcg. My thyroid tests are normal. I have questionnaire symptoms of hypo, however. A month ago I started taking 12 mg iodine. My hair in the shower is falling out less. I was staying awake more during the day. That was until I stopped coffee – now I’m taking 2 and 3 hour naps, but the BSS book said tiredness is a consequence of stopping caffiene – temporary – so I’m hoping my energy will pick up . . . .
