Recipes 10 months ago I, too, am looking for more recipes. However, I haven’t gotten thru the first week’s full yet! This is because they make 4 servings, usually, so I’m cooking that much, but saving in the refrig or freezing for later. I’m slowly working my way through the first week’s list! Still, I’m looking for even more recipes. I think the ones I’m eating now taste very good and are healthful. Has anyone strayed at all from the plan? Yesterday I ate a salad from the salad bar in our grocery store here and put on a few croutons! Oh no! I wanted something crunchy! It was straying. Any help? To avoid this?

My suggestion is walk on by. every meal and every snack we have an opportunity to reconfim our commitment to being healthy. Ask yourself each time you reach for something that isnt in your new improved lifestyle ask yourself if it is worth it? If the answer is yes…then you’ve made a contious decision to go off your program. If your answer is no it is definitely not worth it. run like hell! Just kidding. It is hard when you are at a restaurant or at a friends and there is nothing you can really eat. Being served. .. that’s why I stir clear of them right now. Don’t beat yourself up Prudence.
Hi Prudence, Yes most of us have strayed a bit. I like Nicole’s answer to your question. One thing I would say is, if you do stray, enjoy it for the moment and commit to staying on plan in the future. There is no room for guilt or beating yourself up. that can lead to failure.
Have you tried kelp noodles for crunch? There is a good brand called Sea Tangles. You need to rinse them and cut them to size before using. The left overs must be stored in a glass container in water in the refrigerator. If you try them, avoid putting them in your disposal. They do not have to be cooked.
Warm the kelp noodles act like spaghetti. Cold they are crunchy but do not have taste. so you can add them to salads, or eat them with some lime juice and salt for a snack.
Stay well, Margaret
