In reply to: Margaret Foster posted an update Hi, i just wrote a post to someone and thought I would share some of it. The real struggle for most of us is in our head. With this plan the best way is to concentrate on what […] ViewHi Margaret. I have not been online in a few weeks. Glad to see you still going strong. Thanks for the post. My fridge would now scare most of my family. Open the doors and see SHELVES (not a little bin) of fruit and vegetables. I even scare myself thinking who am I to buy all this healthy stuff and actually enjoy it? Making a vegi omellette for…[Read more]

Just like Susan said. Don’t focus on falling off, focus on the 7 weeks of success and what you need to get back on track. We all fail but we also should be learning from our failures. Life would be boring if it was perfect.

I use cauliflower instead of pasta, I only steam it for about 5 mins to where it just still a little hard/crunchy. then I put over it, my homemade spaghetti sauce with lean ground beef or turkey. w3/d6.

In reply to: lvhealth posted an update Just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. My doctor has given my 12 weeks to focus on health and well being. My motivation is to NOT be put on medication. ViewI had the same motivation and continue to succeed. I am not on any meds and don’t plan on it unless there are no other options. Best of luck to you! This is a great place to learn from each other on our good and bad days. Even my GP doc is impressed. He figured I would just be like his other patients and conform to the norm. No thanks, not for me.

Finishing up Week 10. Everything is still going great. I’m am sticking to the plan and lessons learned on a long term basis for a long term solution.

hi Paul, I am in week 10 myself. Isn’t it amazing how easy it is to stay on this plan long term? I just keep changing vegetables around and it does not seem boring at all. In fact I want to eat vegetables rather than other things. That is new for me, but welcome. Stay well, Margaret

In reply to: tptvox posted an update I’m just starting this. I”m in the preparatory week. Kind of hesitant considering no one in my family, including my husband, is into this. I travel a bit, and I have terrible cravings. […] ViewMy family was against it too. They didn’t like that I refused to eat items at dinner. I started making my own things. They did not encourage me. Now they see my success and see why I am doing it. I travel all the time and I figured out how to shop and cook in the hotel or be picky in the restaurants. You will do great!

Now is the start of week 7. Blood test results were great. Doc was impressed at the fatty liver results much improved. Last week was an unusual week while I was travelling but I stuck to the plan pretty good. I continued to lose weight even though I was in travel mode. It keeps on working.

Week 6 starts next week. When this ends I don’t plan on reintroducing anything. For me this has to last as a way of living life, not a 6 week fad diet.

This is really wise Paul. Maintaining an internal locus of control is critical to sustaining a healthy lifestyle when the 6 weeks are over. As you said, tempatations are all around and stimulating messages are plenty! While not all human noise is negative, most of food marketing can be! So keep up the excellent train of thought!

In reply to: gardengirl3 posted an update in the group Diet & Nutrition Hi, I am just starting. I am worried that I won’t beable to stop eating or drinking certain foods.
