Diabesity / Diabetes 9 months, 3 weeks ago Hi Im new here. From what I have read on the website and previews from the book, I think this is what I have been looking for. I was diagnosed about 8 years ago and have been doing ok in controling my blood sugar until recently. Lots of stress right now. My goal is to loose 50 pounds and get off of the meds I am on. Tomorrow I am hoping to get the book and start reading and make a lot of life changes.












hi Rae-welcome! I got the ebook version on line and have the book on my computer and IPhone so it is with me where ever I go and I have it when ever I need to refer to it. I am at day 4 of week 4 and feeling better every day. I have 55 lbs I want to lose. I get blood work done next middle of September. Can’t wait to see what my numbers will be then. Good luck!
Day 5.
I had thought about getting the ebook for my nook but have decided to go with the paper copy so I can make notes right on the pages.
\ She is very good about letting me work with more natural treatments rather than going straight to the meds so I am going to take this book and website to her and go over it together.
My next appt with my FNP is the end of Aug so I will be having my labs done in a few weeks. My A1C was 6.1 back at the end of March but I know it has gone up a little since them.
I think my biggest stumbling block will be my family. Hubby is a BIG junk food eater and refuses to change though my FNP is constantly harrassing him for it. So maybe there is hope for him. Ü
I also think having this place to connect with others who are doing the same will help me a lot.
My husband is eating my food and then supplementing with his sandwiches , burritos , ice cram chips and other junk food. He is losing weight and is ahead of mr so far in losing weight ince his body isn’t diabetic. Though he is on blood pressure and cholesterol meds . I can have the bad stuff in front of me and am usually not even tempted. if I really can’t stand it in the past I have taken one bite and that’s been enough to satisfy me. Feeling so much better is motivating me to stay on course. I really don’t know how to explain the difference in how I feel other than to say I feel so much more ”alive”. Have a good evening.
