Diabesity / Diabetes 9 months, 2 weeks agoWow, had a bout with an intestinal bug – fever and all only lasted 24 hrs, but my stomach & intestines have taken over 3 weeks to settle down again. The bloodsugarsolution diet was too hard on the “innards”, had to do soft diet and the BRATT diet, so I’ve gotten the taste for carbs back. Yesterday I went to the gym for the first time and…[Read more]

Hi Becky – glad you are feeling better and good to hear that you are back on track. Are you eating good things to replenish the good flora in your stomach and intestines?

not all yogarts are created equal yu need to find an unsweetened yogart with live cultures( low fat dary or soy) Have a good afternoon! At health food stores there are also pills you can get to replenish the good flora in your gut.

Trader Joe’s has coconut milk yogurt under their brand. You can also find coconut milk yogurt in regular grocery stores if you don’t have Trader Joe’s. As Nicole said you can get probiotics at the health food store that you take daily to get you back on track. Be sure and get the ones in the refrigerated section. They have more potency and…[Read more]

I have not reintroduced dairy yet o I will look for the coconut milk yogart at Trader joes. I’m now at day 5 of week 6 . Have started tummy exercises to get rid of that low hanging stuff that shows one that you are making progress. Added tummy exercising 2x-day. Morning before my insulin shot and evening before my evening shot.

Well, I haven’t posted a lot, I see. This week I’ve had the flu – just started back on solid food today, and didn’t think I was ready for chard yet….Before the flu, I had lost 20 pounds and increased my walking up to 2 miles, and my endurance at the weights, too. I’m going to start back exercising tomorrow. I like the way i’m sticking…[Read more]

I knew when I started June 1 that I had a couple conferences this summer to deal with. Just back from the first one – I took nuts and carrots with me, thank goodness. There was almost nothing in the meals that went with the Advanced plan except sometimes I could choose a good fish or chicken. I let myself move to the Basic plan for whole wheat…[Read more]

Hi Becky, Good going! Sometimes we just have to roll with the punches and eat what is available. The great news is you are continuing the advanced plan now that you are on home ground.
Blessings, Margaret

Well, it’s day 2. So far so good. I actually haven’t felt that ravenous and panicky to eat feeling – even though my stomach has rumbled from being ready to eat. And since my garden is coming in right now, I’ve got chard and basil and broccoli and sugar peas, and I know they’re pesticide-free, and they’re free (except for the sweat). Soon…[Read more]

Hi, Becky, this is my second day also. Just got my garden planted. It includes green beans, lettuce, napa cabbage, pak choi , tomatoes and yams. This is the first time I’ve tried the pak choi, cabbage and yams. Need to plant chard yet. It will be interesting to see if they grow okay. I had half a small chicken breast and a stir fry with…[Read more]

Thanks. I guess I’m actually in the ”Prep” week. I’ve found it difficult to admit I need this level of change, and computing my statistics for the Health Tracker made me cry. I went shopping and bought many of the foods for the recipes, though, to try them out. So that’s a step.

Welcome to this Board !
I’m sure you’ll find a lot of motivation and support here.
I’m totally ”new” too, but find both the lifestyle change and the support here GREAT. Hope to see you online.
Cheers
