Dr. Hyman’s book offers everyone the best way to get healthy. The eating plan may be restrictive, but once you get started, you will feel fantastic.

This is great to hear. I was exactly at that place you describe, when I started the plan 3/25. Since then, I went completely off of insulin within 3 weeks, and over the course of 3+months, I have I lost 23 lbs. I am kind of on a plateau now–needing to increase my exercise. Wow-completely off insulin in three weeks. I sure would love that. I am on day 6 of week one and have started loosing weight. I would love to be able to decrease my novolin as I loose weight and get healthier.
I bet you’ll achieve that goal. Do work with a doctor or an endocrinologist, of course, in tapering off any medicine. That’s great that you’re almost at the end of your first week.
