There are some things I didn’t throw out. My almond milk is not organic and I figured I would use it then switch to organic. I don’t use it much now that I’m not eating cereals or making sugar free puddings. I also have a very expensive supply of whey protein powder I hope someday to be able to add back in. Agreed with everyone above…do the best you can! I had a box of sweetened almond milk left over that was about half full. I didn’t realize it had sugar in it until there was only about a quarter left. I’ve seen a recipe in BSS book with Mirin, too, which is a sweet Japanese cooking wine. Perhaps the book is designed for all phases of diet lifestyle. Guess a little bit every now and then is okay. Hi, I got an explanation for the small deviations from the nutritional coaches, The recipes are meant for wide appeal. The advanced plan people need to be cautious. People that have completed the 6 weeks can use the recipes more widely. Chocolate 70% is meant to be a very rare treat in very small amounts. teaspoon size not candy bar size.

What do you put in your smoothies?
I use 8oz unsweetened soy or almond milk, add a scoop of protein powder and the 1/2 cup frozen berries. Any frozen fruit works. I usually keep a few peeled frozen bananas in a freezer bag in the freezer. Just break into pieces and plop in the processor. I just bought a bag of mixed berries at WallyWorld and they are really good.
