I think you can just add in some additional yellow and red carbs and perhaps increase your serving sizes a bit. The quality of the foods are what is most important. I want everything I eat to have healing powers at this pio in. No empty calories. I can’t wait til I am at 120. It’s going to be a while I suspect I’m hovering at 164 on Day 1 of week 11.

You can eat more good quality olive oil. Avocados, nuts, olives and beans or allowed grains. I have been maintaining my weight for 4 months with just slight additions to the BSS basic plan.

I thought it might be for religious reasons . since you are not diabetic In sure you will be just fine just make sure you drink plenty of fluids. You might want to skip supplements on that dy too as the can be harsh on your stomach on an empty stomach. After a few days you will be one craving sugar, bread and sweeteners. I no longer crave these…[Read more]

Hi Shayna,.
We all follow this plan our own way. If you have fasted in the past comfortably, then you would probably be ok fasting on this program. Just make sure the liquids you do drink are sugar free like herbal tea, water, almond milk or coconut water/milk.
When you break your fast vegetables and a little protein will work.

Good morning Shayna. Chapter 29 recipes and shopping lists has several protein shake recipies. dr Hyman also recommends PGX fiber capsules that you can get at health food stores. i say, add as much of whatever that you want to your shakes. make them your own!!!! just be sure to check ingredients carefully at first, and you will be just fine.
