Judy- you are not on your own! You’ve got this community . And your family will support you. you are giving them a great gift if you cook healthy for them. they can eat your diet portion sizes will just be different for them. and hubby can go out and buy a hamburger and fries or what ever when he gets his cravings. On advanced plan you can have up to 1/2 cup raspberries, blackberries, blueberries or strawberries. But I have to tell you that if I have more than one or two my blood sugar really spikes. Especially if I don’t have some protein with the fruit. My regular breakfast is one egg microwaved at 50% with a little butter in it, some sort of protein…[Read more]

You have to modify you basic food list with the additional food restrictions on the advanced list ie only fruit is 1/2 duo berries no other fruit for example, you also need to avoid all grains and starch vegetables until your metabolism resets 6 -12 weeks from now. Hi Marshella – When I cook Bok Choy in stir fry, I chop it up in to narrow stips (about an inch) then add it to the hot oil first before the other vegetables. I cook it alone a couple minutes before adding the other veggies and cooked meat. Usually turns out well. Good luck!

You can also buy baby or toy bok choy and simply slice it in half lengthwise. It’s a quick addition to stir frys and does not need much cooking time.

Fesh, canned and frozen vegetables. Hi Shey, You can eat canned or frozen vegetables no problem. I prefer fresh veggies and make stir fry in the morning of the veggies that are in my refrigerator and have that as the main stay . the freezer is also my friend. I cook beans…which I can’t really eat right now on the advanced plan and freeze individual servings and though them out…[Read more]

it ws hard for me to through out what I shouldn’t be eating and there are still a few things that I haven’t been willing to toss. My artificially sweetened flavors to add to my coffee…which I have given up both artifical and coffee isn’t that insane of me. Hi Shey,
I am in Australia and already I have found our countries speak different languages when it comes to food. Still this isn’t a problem as where there is the will there is always a way.
Where in Texas? We just moved from Houston to Tucson.
I miss Central Market. :.). . .
