You can also buy baby or toy bok choy and simply slice it in half lengthwise. It’s a quick addition to stir frys and does not need much cooking time.

Otherwise I do the same as Heather. You can slice it in about 1/2 inch strips, I heat a wok or pan, add some coco oil, toss it for a few minutes, add a clove of monced garlic and a small amount of…[Read more]

Yes, I do. I make a shake that is almond mik, – unsweetened with vanilla – about 3 oz of soft tofu, a rice protein powder and either a 1/4 cup of either blueberries or strawberries, or with abou1.5 T of almond butter i nstead of the fruit.

I’ve tried adding ground flax but don’t like the foamy consistency you get so I cut that our of the smoothies.

You might look for Silk unsweetened Vanilla almond milk to help with that blandness. It’s out there at many grocery stores and health food stores.

Diamond also makes an unsweetened almond, coconut milk blend that is pretty good but harder to find.

    • Seco nd that motion – it is a great alternative even to soy as it has half the calories.

    • Margo – do you do protein powders(s0 of any kind with the Almond ? thanx and cheers.

    • Tnx M – I have bought that unsweetened as well – and 2 days ago I mistakenly bought the regular Silk Almond Vanila and though i liked it – was shocked to find that it had 11g of sugar in in – and of course i like the idea of zero. Actually the bland to me of the unsweetned orig is still a huge leap from dairy of any kind and the calories of soy…[Read more]
