It didn’t sound appealing to me when I started the diet but because I got tired of eggs, I started eating leftovers. Now I might eat leftover salad or stirfried chicken with veggies for breakfast at least a few times a week.
yeah for left overs! I have stopped eating eggs in the morning and just have a few nuts while I’m fixing breakfast and some protein and usually 3/4 cup barely stir fried vegetables heated up in the microwave. this is enough to take my vitamins without getting any heartburn and brings my blood sugar level up enough so I can go for my morning walk. I’m at day 3 of week 8 and feeling great.
Sometimes I will just eat 28 gms. of almonds. It is amazing how that can tide me over until the morning snack. I also sometimes have a smoothie made with almond milk, berries, ground flax seeds, and hemp protein powder. I try not to eat too much at breakfast so I have food left over for the late afternoon, which is the time I am in danger of overeating.
Hi, I have a mixture of spinach and tomatoes sauteed with olive oil and herbs. Eggs go great with this. I cook a batch, keep it refrigerated and take out what I need in the morning.
i also have home made vegetable soup with an egg in the morning. My soup is so laden with vegetables it is like a stew.
You can eat anything left over from other meals as well.
I sometimes have a protein shake with almond milk or coconut milk, frozen berries, hemp protein and flax seed. You can add things like, avocado, greens, celery or cucumber to this. Any leftovers I save for a snack or the next morning.
Blessings, Margaret
How about several cut up fruits , apples pears berries. These are good to have in morning on empty stomach.
